Riverside Cafe - Gurnee

Been there many times and has not disappointed. One of my favorites is the green chilaquiles and all of their eggs Benedict options. Their latte flight is always a great shareable option.

This was a really nice breakfast restaurant. There was plenty of parking , it is locates in a strip mall. We went on mother's day. We got in a bit early and had no trouble sitting down right away. The wait staff were very professional. We ordered a variety of breakfast dishes and all were delicious. The prices seemed very reasonable and there were large portion sizes. We also ordered coffee, americano and some children drinks. The drinks were made well and the presentation was pretty cool as well. All in all a really nice place to eat. I believe they also do lunch and dinner.

A surprising gem in Gurnee! My wife and I were looking for a decent bite to eat while on a road trip and we ended up loving our meals at Riverside Cafe! Our server (Jack? Can't remember the name, sorry) was absolutely fantastic and attentive to our experience and was very good to make us feel welcome. Our food was absolutely amazing and a great value as well. $40 for two meals, with a 25% tip, which yielded a carnitas platter, a side of 3 large pancakes, and a really dynamic avocado toast with hash browns. Sad I don't live nearby or I would definitely be back again soon.

My family and I were on a little staycation this weekend to visit Great America, and the morning after our visit, we were looking for a great breakfast spot. We came across Riverside Cafe thanks to its glowing reviews—and we’re so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the experience was top-tier. Our server, Stephanie, was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and full of great recommendations. Everything she suggested was absolutely delicious, and she made sure we were well taken care of from start to finish. We’ll definitely be coming back next time we’re in the area! Try the cofffee float highly recommend.

Food was delicious, we had the carnitas skillet, the breakfast sandwich with house made jalapeño aioli, and the kids had a breakfast combo and French toast and everything was a hit! The horchata latte and salted caramel was wonderful. And our waitress was so attentive and kind. Thank you Riverside Cafe for a wonderful breakfast experience! From your Texas visitors :)

I was visiting from Florida and relied on Google reviews to find a great spot for breakfast — and I’m so glad I chose Riverside Cafe! From the moment our server, Xochitl, greeted us with her warm and welcoming attitude, I knew we were in the right place. My iced salted caramel latte was made perfectly — I nearly finished it before our food even arrived! I ordered the avocado toast and made a couple of substitutions, and everything came out exactly as I’d hoped and tasted absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the steak and eggs with a waffle and really enjoyed his meal as well. From the friendly service to the tasty food, our experience at Riverside Cafe was all-around wonderful. Highly recommend!

Delicious Food and Creative menu options. Food was very well made. Highly recommended for anytime of the day. I went for breakfast and had the steak skillet. Steak was perfectly cooked, onions were very well caramelized and the potatoes were so good. Great staff as well.

Great food, friendly service, and they are EXPANDING! A great menu where everything satisfies! Plenty of craft lattes with seasonal flavors. Riverside wont disappoint!
